Hello ladies! So I know it's the holiday season with Christmas right around the corner and News Year Eve coming up and we all know these are famous holidays that you celebrate with your boo! Well, I know that if you are single, this time of the year can have you feeling a little down! However, last night, God gave me a revelation about relationships that will you have you feeling a little better! I was at a Christmas party with my old high school friends and we were talking about who is married or engaged and so on. I started to feel bad for these ladies but it wasn't until I got home that God brought the point home. I started thinking that I couldn't understand how these ladies could be so casual and free with these men. I don't just want the random man that is available, I want the man that God has for me! God has revealed so much to me about true, Godly relationships! They are hard work! In Proverbs 20:4, it states "Those too lazy to plow in the right season will have no food at the harvest". When God puts two people together, he has them for a specific purpose. This means that if you are too lazy to fight for your marriage and work together, God wont get the glory and you won't get to experience the true fruit of that marriage. To be plain, don't get in a relationship unless you are ready to be married! He brought my attention that I shouldn't be entertaining guys just to say I have a man. I also started thinking that if God is the foundation of my life then I can't be with someone that doesn't have God as his foundation either! Ladies, don't waste your time trying to get a man! If you have to chase after some guy, it's apparent he doesn't want you! Also, if a man is too shy to approach you don't need him! Lol, that is just me adding my personal opinion! But in all seriousness, wait on God's best! Wait on the guy that is willing to court you or date God's way! Wait, on the guy on that will connect with your mind and not just your body! Wait on the guy that will move you closer to God! That is what I will be doing in 2015. One last point, don't just sit at home and wait! Get out and make yourself a better person! In 2 Peter 1:5-6, it states For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness. Focus on you and God! Stop daydreaming about your future, thinking about your past, and start focusing on your today! Merry Christmas and have a happy New Year!

Hello ladies! I know it’s been a while but God has been moving in my life! I'm starting a girls’ ministry at my church so that has kind of taken all of my time lol. But I’m back! Just recently, I was thinking about how God has brought a sister a long way! Lol. For me to be in this wonderful place in my life is an amazing feeling. I honestly never knew I could be this happy with God.....To have my happiness not depend on material possessions or relationships but Him! I even told someone that I was so happy I can say I’m living for God! I no longer have to fake my relationship with Christ! You may ask what does that mean. It means I know God and He knows me. In Matthew 7:23, it states "Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!” One day we will have to give an account of what we did on this Earth and Jesus will either deny or accept us. Most importantly, we shouldn't just want to be in the right relationship with God because we want to go to Heaven. God has been too good to us for us just to dismiss Him! He is worthier than any other job, friend, boyfriend or anything else! God is so deserving of all the glory and praise! He is the Alpha and the Omega! Second Corinthians 2:17 states, “We are not like so many others, who handle God's message as if it were cheap merchandise; but because God has sent us, we speak with sincerity in his presence, as servants of Christ.” So what do I mean by faking a relationship with Christ? Fake is defined as to prepare or make something specious, deceptive, or fraudulent. Before I got serious about my relationship with Christ, I was faking it. I went to church every Sunday and said my prayers each morning and night. I would even defend an idea that seemed ungodly. On the contrary, my heart was FAR from God! I was wearing God on the outside but on the inside I was wearing jealousy, insecurity, bitterness, and just ugliness. I never truly had faith that God wanted the best for me. It was all smoke and mirrors. Instead I looked to other things to make me happy, being deceived they could bring me long-lasting happiness. It wasn't even until just a few months ago, that I came to realization that God is the only person that can bring me true happiness. In Jerimiah 29:11, it states “for the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you.” When I finally surrendered myself to God and His will for my life, I gained more than I ever could find in being worldly. Because I now have an authentic relationship with Christ, God is moving in my life and He trusts me to do His will. Lastly, being about your Father's business, is AMAZING! It feels so good to say I'm doing God's work and that I'm helping someone see God's love. Don't let anyone try to talk you out of being a TRUE servant of Christ! There's nothing in the WORLD that can compare to being in the relationship with God! Don't play catfish with God!

Hello ladies! So summer vacation is coming to an end and everyone is starting back school or work. I can remember when I would start a new school year some of my classmates would look different or even act different. Just today at church, I noticed a little girl had gotten so tall! She had a growth spurt! I have had my own growth spurt! My flesh has died and a new Caitlin has come alive! This wasn't just a summer growth spurt; this change occurred over a year! This time last year, I had just discovered Pinky Promise and developed a true relationship with Christ! I was even getting excited about meeting my Pinky Promise sisters for the first time! During last Fall, I read "A Purpose Driven" by Rick Warren and discovered my that I had greater purpose for my life than what I expected! I also became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha! lol. I really began to realize that I had to put God first in my life! I would wake up at 5:00 am to spend time with God! I can even remember on New Years Eve, I was too excited to go to church! Yeah, I could have been hanging out with my friends or at the club, but I felt it was imperative for me to bring in the New Year at church! I remember journaling to God telling him that I felt like 2014 was about to be a supernatural year! God had some important things in store for me! Ladies, the SECOND day of the new year God revealed to me that I needed to start a blog! I had been praying since like September about my purpose! I was blown away and surprised! I was like, "I don't know how to blog or even what to say". That's clearly not the problem now! lol. I continued to grow in Christ and he got me through some tough times because nursing school was no joke! I, then began to have my flesh die. I remember some of my friends would get me to drink and I just didn't feel comfortable being around them. Also, God convicted my heart to stop watching Love & Hip-hop. He also led me to my new major-elementary education :). He also got me through a period of loneliness that I didn't understand! I remember during spring break, I stayed home to study for a big test. It was the best week ever because I hadn't been spending time with God but during that week, I spent all the time with Him! There's nothing like being in His presence! Fast forward to June, I remember talking to a Pinky Promise sister and she suggest declaring whatever you wanted God to bless you with. So I decided to declare June as the month of supernatural events or expectation! I had been praying for a job and not long after that, I got hired somewhere! I also got a scholarship that I wasn't expecting! Then, in the middle of June, I felt myself dealing with lusty thoughts and I was determined to shut them down! That Sunday, I was watching a church service and all of sudden God laid on my heart to do a purity prayer challenge! I was like, "Hold up, God. That is a lot!". I still obeyed Him. It was such a blessing! Last week, God told me to go on a social media fast and at first, I was a little apprehensive but I finally did it. This is not my first social media fast but this has been the best one! In addition to fasting from social media, I have fasted from secular music and TV this week. I'm starting to think this is not a fast but a life-changing journey! Today, God gave me a vision for a girls ministry that I have been wanting to start! This is only the beginning! I can honestly say the old Caitlin is gone and there is a new Caitlin starting!

Hello ladies!! Summer school has ended and I'm back! So I was on social media the other day and kept seeing a lady that had proposed to her boyfriend. Most of the people on social media were saying that was crazy. It wasn't until I came across an IG comment from a girl saying she didn't see anything wrong with women proposing. That's when God sent me a word! In Proverbs 18:22, it says, "He who finds a wife finds a good thing". It DOES NOT STATE woman should be desperate and find a husband! My interpretation of of marriage is that husbands are supposed to be leaders. Today, while reading my bible, I discovered in 1 Corithians 11:3 it states, "But I want you to understand this: The head of every man is Christ. And the head of a woman is the man. And the head of Christ is God." We are supposed to be led by our husbands in marriage and before that be led by our boyfriends in courtships or relationships. If the guy you are dating is truly a Godly man, (not just a church boy lol) he will tell you his intentions (which should be marriage). People invest their time in what they truly see as important. If a guy is stringing you along and you feel like you should be proposing then LEAVE! The right guy that GOD has for you, will have the intention of marrying you! Stop looking for a man to fill the void in your life! Remember that you have Kingdom work to do! I also read today in 1 Corithians 7:28, 32-34 it says, But if you decide to marry, that is not a sin. And it is not a sin for a girl who has never married to get married. But those who marry will have trouble in this life, and I want you to be free from this trouble.32I want you to be free from worry. A man who is not married is busy with the Lord’s work. He is trying to please the Lord. 33But a man who is married is busy with things of the world. He is trying to please his wife. 34He must think about two things—pleasing his wife and pleasing the Lord. A woman who is not married or a girl who has never married is busy with the Lord’s work. She wants to give herself fully—body and spirit—to the Lord. But a married woman is busy with things of the world. She is trying to please her husband." This passage of scripture is saying that, marriage is a lot of work! I have not been married but just looking at my parent's lives and other married couples, its quite evident! I can understand, being a single woman myself, that it can feel like God is betraying us by not giving us our Husband when it seems like everyone else is getting engaged and married! But we have to realize that we have KINGDOM work to do! God has ordained a purpose in each of us and we will definitely be more productive in our purpose when we are single than married! The bible says to Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5). Trust that God will provide your husband to us in HIS timing; not ours! I can speak from experience that the times I wanted something and decided to take matters in my own hands, don't compare with the blessings I got from God when I waited! I remember just last summer, I was complaining that I never had a job then that same week, I got called to work at a radio station! This job was God-ordained! So ladies, stop searching for a man! Figure out your purpose and get busy working for God! Don't waste your season of singleness!

Hello ladies! Well, today is the last day of the Purity Prayer Challenge! I'm glad to say I made it! When God gave me this assignment, I was like, "Are you serious"?. Although I was apprehensive about doing this, I made sure I was obedient to God. If you didn't get anything else out of this challenge, I hope you got the idea that you MUST BE OBEDIENT TO GOD! Not so you can have all the blessings and favor, but because you owe that to God! God already has paid a price for us! Our purity belongs to God! So no guy is deserving of your purity unless he is your husband and especially if he's a man of God! Be obedient to God and He will give you the desires of your heart! (Psalms 37:4) Wait on God's Best! Dear God, thank you for letting me make it through this challenge! I hope that these ladies have heard your voice through my writing! I pray that these ladies will take your words and add them to their life! Let no guy get their purity or allow them to be promiscuous! Let them live for you! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Hello ladies! Happy Tuesday! So today, I am coming from the Bible verse Romans 12:2. This verse says, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." I was at work today and my coworkers were joking around saying things that were not Christ-like. I could have decided to join them but because I know God's word, I didn't. Once you truly get in a relationship with Christ, you will began to become like Him! You will no longer crave pre-marital sex or porn. Dig deep into God's word so you can be set free! You will no longer be of the world! I challenge you to wake up early every day to spend time with God this week! Be blessed! Dear God, thank you for these ladies! Thank you for always being there with us! Lord, help us to spend time with you! We want to be drenched in your word! Help us to become like you! We love you! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Happy Monday ladies! Last night, I was just filled with joy that June has been so great! Then, I started feeling these visions from July that God is about to do something AMAZING! My desires will be filled in July! lol. In Genesis 1:1-5, it states that, "In the beginning, God created the light and he created the darkness. He created the clouds and the earth". You might feel like you have fallen too far but you haven't! Today can be your new beginning in Purity! Speak it into the atmosphere that you desire from God! Tell God those chains from will be broken! No more strongholds from ex-boyfriends! No more addiction to porn! Begin to just speak it into the atmosphere! Dear God, we thank you for everything! We thank you for letting us make it through June! We know July will be even more amazing! Give us ladies strength to begin again! Let the ladies know that you have unconditional love for us! You are always there! Thank you in advance for our future blessings! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Goodmorning afternoon ladies! Last night, I just cried out to God for praising him that he has raised my STANDARDS! I remember freshman year of college a friend of mine was going to stay over at her boyfriends for the weekend. I was telling my parents and at that time I though there wasn't anything wrong with going to stay over at a guys house! Well, my parents had a different opinion! They were like, "omg Caitlin haven't you learned anything from going to church?". Just even Spring semester, I thought it was completely fine to just up in a guys dorms all the time! I was living ALL IN THE WORLD! Now, that I'm truly living for GOD, I don't even listen to hip-hop or rnb music that much! You wont even catch me in revealing clothes! (not that I dressed that way before lol. I only wanted to dress that way). I tried watching Temptation the other day and turned it off shortly! I wont even look at Guys that cuss or post sexual pictures! Don't ever settle for a guy that just wants a quick hookup! Have standards! We are Daughters of the King! Dear God, thank you for raising my standards! Thank you for being our Father! Lord, help us to raise our standards and to keep them high! We only want what is aligned in your plans! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Hello ladies! Hope your weekend is going great! Today, I woke up thinking I want something new in my life! Maybe something like a new hairstyle or a new makeup look! I was tired of the same old stuff! Then it came to me! I thought, "Everybody should be changing". People move or a get a new job but nothing should stay the same! You should never be stagnant! Ecclesiastes 3:1-22 states,"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing". God has us in specific seasons for a reason! So when God is telling you to break it off with that disrespectful boyfriend or to stop sleeping with that cute guy from church, DO IT! God's plans are better than ours! The ending of something is only the beginning of something different! Dear God, thank you for this new day! Thank you for all of the seasons in our lives! Help us to realize that your plans for our relationship status is more important than how good the sex is! Help us to be obedient to your word! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Hello ladies! So today will be a little different! Yesterday, I was reflecting on society's obsession with sex and if you are still a virgins, people think it's weird! I decided to write a letter to society. Dear Society, I was thinking how YOU love sex! Young girls are taught at a young age to reveal their bodies to look sexier! Sixth graders are now discussing sexual positions! Oh my, look at what you've done, Society! Yes, Society, we do attend church to forgive our sins! There is one exception! SEX! Ninth graders start getting into "serious" relationships and parents pushed them into having sex! Oh that's just the norm, they say! Once in high school, its now a competition who can sleep with the most boys. Girls leave high school with broken hearts and a promiscuous past! Oh, I forgot, they might just get the best prize--a newborn baby left to raise alone. What does Society have to say? Society may be all upset because it happened but do they do anything to prevent it?? So girls move on to college. We sometimes are still dating our high school love or have moved on to "older boys". Girls get sold dreams of "I love you and we can get married" only to have them washed away by bringing a child into this world ALONE. Girls ask, "How could do this happen?" There is only one explanation-PRE-MARITAL SEX! It doesn't stop there! Grown woman are still not sick of having sex! By now, "hookups or late night booty calls" are the norm! So by now a woman gets married and her husband has to deal with all those emotions and past of having all of that pre-marital sex! Some people might call me a fool for writing this! I don't think I'm a fool at all! I know my God has reserved my husband and I will wait forever for Him! If I can prevent a broken heart, STDs, raising a child alone, and all of that lust, I will play the fool forever :) Yours Truly, Caitlin, God's Child Dear God, Help us single ladies to holdout for your best! Give us strength! Help us to not pay attention to Society! We only want to glorify you! We love you! In Jesus name we pray, Amen!

Hello ladies! Let's jump right in to the topic. My topic today is coming from James 1:13-14. That scriptures says "Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and He himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire." I know we all get tempted BUT, that temptation does not come from God it comes from our flesh! I have talked about ways to prevent temptation like not watching sexual movies or listening to sexual music. Also, having accountability partners is a good way as well. The most important way is to capture our thoughts! 2 Corinthians 10:5 says, To take every thought captive. I have had to struggle with this but last weekend, I got SERIOUS! I downloaded the BibleLock Screen App and it was free on the iPhone. This is a wonderful app to keep us reminded about God! Every time an impure thought came into my head I would act like I was saving a document and decide to recycle the thought out of my head! Dear God, thank you for your mercies each day. Help us to shut our thoughts up! Help us to submit to you and not the work of the Devil! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Wednesday, June 25, 2014
Hello ladies! Wow, can you all believe it has been two weeks since this challenge started?! I hope this last week has been a special blessing to you ladies! So today I want to discuss Hebrews 13:4. It states, "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral." Now I know probably none of us girls are married or have been married but this is important to discuss. When you get in a relationship or courtship, make sure that the guy is single! Don't allow a guy that is a cheater to smooth-talk you! Don't think that you are not good enough to get a guy of your own! You are! Courtships or relationships are the PRE-ENGAGEMENT stage! The ENGAGEMENT stage is the PRE-WEDDING stage preparing us for our MARRIAGE! Scripture tells us that marriage should be honored by ALL! So single people should honor marriage too! Don't we all want to be married! So we need to protect our purity by not getting in side relationships and protect the purity of these men! Now we know it takes two to tango! So ladies, DO NOT go after a man in a relationship! He is TAKEN! Let's fast forward to us being married, now how would we like if a lady approached our husband and was lusting after him?? We would go crazy! Abide by the Golden Rule! Treat others the way you would want to be treated! Honor your purity and someone's else purity in the same way you would honor your marriage! All of these things GLORIFY God! Dear God, thank you for this day. Lord, help us to honor our purity! Help us to honor the relationships of other Christians. Help us to protect the purity of not only ourselves but the purity of our men! Help us to learn that all of these things are preparation for our marriage! Give us strength! We love you! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Tuesday, June 24, 2014
Hello ladies! Today I want to talk about having good people around you. Why is this important you might ask? I think it's important to have support around you! Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 states, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken." We all need people that can support and encourage us when we are having trouble with something! If you have friends that are not supportive of protecting your purity, drop them! They obviously aren't of Christ anyway! We need accountability partners! Accountability partners are people in our lives that can keep us accountable! This means when we are out on dates or even at home watching TV, they are there to protect us to make sure we keeping our vows to God. Dear God, thank you for having Christian people that can be accountability partners. Lord, help us to get rid of all the bad friends who aren't of you. Help us to find great accountability partners. We need encouragers in our lives! Thank you Lord for all you do! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Hello ladies! Happy Monday! Today I taught my first vacation bible school class. Since my major is elementary education, I thought it would be good experience. It sure was! I can honestly say it went better than I expected though :) The only problem I had was with a specific child in my class. He would never pay attention or seem to follow suite! It was irritating because he was missing out on all the fun things I was doing in my class. He was being OBEDIENT. Obedience is defined as the act or practice of obeying; dutiful or submissive compliance. In Exodus 23:22, it states “But if you carefully obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries." Sometimes we hear God's voice pulling our arms to let an ex go or to not watch a certain TV show and we simply wont obey. Then we wonder why the Devil is after us so hard! We could have easily dodged that broken heart by obeying our discerning spirit or those soul-ties! God's ways are so much better than we could have imagined! Let me make this personal! I have been single for AWHILE! Yes, I would love to be in a relationship but I know by me not obeying God wouldn't be the best thing for me! I cannot just sell my purity to a guy that's not even half the man God has for me just because I am tired of being single! I know that whoever God has for me will be worth the obedience! I don't want to miss out on that! Dear God, thank you for your guidance! Help us to follow through with our obedience! Help those girls to not sell their purity to someone not their husband! They are worth the wait! Help us to not get weary but wait on your BEST! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Sunday, June 22, 2014
Good afternoon ladies! God laid on me the scripture James 4:7-10. It states "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up." Sometimes we tend to beat ourselves up over our sins. Yes, sin is bad but that does not mean that we wont fail every now or then. God is the only person that is perfect! Only in HIM, are we perfect! So don't be so hard on yourselves, go to God! I know we sometimes feel ashamed of our sins but God has unconditional love for us! Don't run away from Him! God is the only person that can me us whole again! Go to Him and he will forgive you of your sexual sins! No matter what you did in the past, you can still protect your purity! Dear God, thank you for your mercies each and everyday! Lord, we might of messed up last night, but today we have forgiveness from you! Help those ladies who feel ashamed and not enough! Lord, for we know, in you, you are ENOUGH! We aren't perfect but you are! Thank you! Lord, help us to not run to others for our problems but to you run to you always! We love you! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Hello ladies! Yesterday I touched on the topic of insecurity. Today, I want to discuss how to dress modestly while still feeling confident. The Bible says that our bodies are temples of God and that we should treat them like temples. (1 Corinthians 6:19) When a man sees that you are respecting yourself and God, he will know that he will respect your purity. The right type of guy will not only see you for what you have on, but he will see that you care about yourself. So how can you dress modestly and still not feel like a grandma? lol. Well first, it's summertime, so I know we all like to wear skirts. This doesn't mean that you have to wear miniskirts! I was on charlotterusse.com last night and I discovered they have midi-skirts. These skirts come down to almost the knee plus they are super cute! Secondly, if you don't like the midi-skirts, they have maxi skirts! These skirts are long and modest enough! I know you guys are wondering why I haven't mentioned shorts yet! lol. Shorts can definitely not be modest! I tried some shorts are at Target yesterday and they were too short!! Even for a short girl like me (4'9 to be exact!), they were too short! I would suggest wearing some Bermuda shorts! Now on to the tops! I know crop tops are in but they are not modest! I will post some tops down below so you can see what I think is modest. I will also post some swimsuit suggestions also. Remember ladies, we are trying to protect our purity, not give it away! One way we can do this is by the way we dress! Have a great Saturday!

Hello ladies! So today I came across a blog written by a girl that use to go to my college. The blog post was titled, "Show A Little Skin, Make A Little Love". Interesting title right? I began reading and instantly the word "insecure" came across my eyes. The girl was describing a time she recently hung out with friends and she felt insecure about her outfit. On the other hand, her tall, skinny friend was dressed in a crop top and tight pants. Her friend was considered "hot" and got hit on all night. The girl kept wondering why she wasn't getting hit on and felt like a loser. End of the story was she stopped feeling sorry for herself and started acting confident. She discovered that she wanted a guy to fall in love with her mind and not her clothes. I know this has to happen at least every girl! I know its happen to me! Just last semester, I started to feel like I dressed too conservative and that was the reason no guy ever approached me! Now I am more in love with myself than ever! Psalm 139:14 says "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made". We have to remember who we belong to! We are God's children and His timing is perfect! God is going to reveal to you the right guy at the right time! In the meantime, don't allow your insecurities to persuade you to have sex with a guy because you think that's what he will like or don't continue to stay in a sex-based relationship because you like the attention. Also, girls, we shouldn't feel like we need to bare all just to get the attention of a BOY. If we are looking to have our wife status fulfilled, we need to dress like we think our future husbands want to see us. Proverbs 31:10 says, "A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies." Our character matters more than what we wear. A MAN will want to protect your purity, not steal it! Dear God, thank you for this day. Thank you for dying on the cross for us! Lord, help us ladies to not feel insecure! Help us to look for your approval and not the approval of boys! Help us to respect you and ourselves by the way we dress! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Thursday, June 19, 2014
Hello Ladies! My topic today is coming from Genesis 6:12. In these particular scripture, it states "And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth". Do you have days where your flesh seems to control you? You know those days where you know what the Bible says but there's something in the back of your head that says you should do something. Your flesh may be telling you should call up your boyfriend or random. It could be telling you that you being celibate is lame. Whatever your flesh is telling you at this moment-DONT LISTEN! Your flesh is corrupted and from the devil! Once you become born again, you become of the spirit of God. Tell your flesh to be quiet! Don't' listen to others about your decisions to protect your purity! We have to remember we are here to please God and not other people! Ask God to give you the wisdom to make the best decisions! Open up your bible to distract you from your flesh! We have to remember that Gods ways are better than our ways! Dear God, please silence our flesh so we are able to obey you. Give us wisdom to decipher voices of our flesh and Your voice! Help us not to succumb to the pressures of this world! Help us to draw near to you! Help us to realize that your love is enough! We are never alone as long as we have you! Thank you for being there! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Hello ladies! It's been a week since the challenge started and I hope it's been a blessing to you! So today I want to discuss a topic that's a little uneasy for you to talk about but it's something I feel needs to be discussed. The topic is masturbation. Growing up I always heard it releases stress and it causes no harm. Well, it causes harm to God and yourself. Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body (1 Corinthians 6:18). Masturbation is nothing but a selfish act! It's only pleasing yourself and not God! I understand your hormones or loneliness may get to you but you HAVE to rebuke those thoughts! Find an accountability partner, journal to God, listen to worship music, put a reminder on your phone to rebuke those devilish thoughts! Do whatever you have to do to not be tempted. No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it (Corinthians 10:13). God won't allow you go trough this alone but you have to bring it God! Go in prayer about this issue! If you are on social media, I suggest following, nosexmovement on twitter, instagram, and facebook. They also have a nosexmovementladies on twitter. Dear God, rid us of those lusty thoughts! Fill our mind with thoughts of you so we won't have to succumb to temptation! Strengthen those ladies dealing with the sin of masturbation. Let them know that they aren't' alone! Help us to keep each other lifted up and accountable, Lord! We love you! In Jesus name we pray, Amen!

Hello ladies! I know I have missed some days but it was a very busy weekend! Our topic of discussion today will be coming from Ephesians 6:11. This verse states "put on the full armor of God so that you can take a full stand on the devils scheme"(NIV). Are you struggling in lusting after an ex or masturbation? Well, we must keep close to God to fight these plans of the devil. The devil knows what is tempting to us and will do anything to get us to fall! We MUST be close to God each and every day! If you find yourself dealing with the issues of keeping your purity, ask God to lead you to a certain scripture or chapter of the Bible. Pray to God asking Him to guard your heart. If God is for us, who can be against us! (Romans 8:31) Dear God, thank you for blessing us to see another day. Thank you Lord for being you and being our protector. Lead us to right scriptures so we can be soaked in Your word! Give us strength to fight against the devil's temptation! Lord, we love you and we want to please you! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Hello Ladies! Happy Weekend! With Father's Day this Sunday, I have decided to discuss how some women sometimes look for a man to validate them and steal their purity because of their lack of fatherly love. I knew a girl that would jump into relationship after relationship looking for love. Regardless, of the status of your relationship with your EARTHLY father, we must remember that we have a HEAVENLY Father. In Psalm 136:26 it says "Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever". God's love is enough for us! We don't have to look for a man to validate us! Rest in God and know that He will bring the right guy in your life that will protect your purity till marriage! Dear God, thank you for protecting us this week and bringing us to the weekend. Thank you Lord for our earthly father's and thank you for all you do! Help us to realize that your love is enough for us! We trust in you and love you! Help us to protect our purity! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Hello ladies! So yesterday we discussed setting boundaries while we are dating. Today's topic will be about the difference between lust and love. Now a lot of ladies get lust and love confused. What is lust exactly? Lust is defined as a strong desire for sexual gratification. What is love? Love is defined as a passionate affection for another person. I can see why some people might get the two confused but now lets look at the biblical aspect of these words. In 1 John 2:16, it is stated that the desires of our flesh and desires of our eyes is not from God but from the world. This is referring to the act of lusting after someone is of the world. It's okay to think someone is attractive but its NOT okay to think of acting on our sexual desires. We need to submit to God and not our flesh! A man who is lusting after you, just wants your body. Your boyfriend might tell you he loves you but that's just a trick to get you in bed. A real Christian man will not want you for just your body. Next, let's look at what the Bible says about love. In 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, the bible states, " Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away." Love in a Christian way is supposed to be uplifting, patient, and of God. Loving someone means you put his or her desires in front of you. A man is supposed to respect you and put his desires on the sidelines. Remember, this the next time you are with your man. Even if you have broken up with your boyfriend, think back to see if he loved you or lusted you. Let us pray. Dear God, thank you for another day. Thank you for loving us even when we make mistakes. Thank you for set backs and breakdowns because we know you are setting us up for breakthroughs. Lord, help us to learn the difference between lust and love. We only want to glorify you! Help us to tell our flesh to be quiet! Help us to learn sex is for marriage! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Hello! I think as women we sometimes tend to blame men for their actions but won't hold ourselves accountable. You are probably wondering where I am going with this, right? What I am talking about is setting boundaries! To protect your purity, you have to set boundaries where no man can go! If you are dating someone or about to date someone, here are some tips. The number one thing is to set the boundary of NO SEX! You have to put that out upfront and if he doesn't abide, get rid of him! Any REAL CHRISTIAN man is going to respect your values. Remember in 1 Corinthians 7:3, God reserved sex for husbands and wives. Secondly, we as women can set boundaries by the way we dress. We need to let these men that we are not for sale lol. How you dress tells so much about you! I'm not talking about being covered from head to toe. I am talking about wearing a skirt that actually comes to your knees or not wearing a low-cut tank top. The best judge is to ask, "If God was here right now would I feel comfortable wearing this?". In 1 Corinthians 16:9, it states "Do you not know our bodies are temples belonging to God". Lastly, we need to set boundaries by where we go. What I mean by this is we do not need to go to our boyfriends house late at night after dinner, we don't need to be going to the club if our hormones cannot handle it lol, and our boyfriend does not need to be coming to our place late at night either! I hope these tips will help each of you to protect your purity. Dear God, help us to strengthen our boundaries! Help us to recognize where we are weak! Give us the strength to remove any guys that are not willing to respect out boundaries! Help us to choose the right outfits to wear each day to protect our purity! Thank you Lord for not giving up on us! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Hello ladies! Welcome to Day 2! For us to remain pure, we need to have clean minds. Have you ever heard of the saying "Get your mind out the gutter"? Well when our minds are cluttered, our judgment is cloudy. In Proverbs 4:23 the Bible states, "guard your heart for above all else the issues of life come from the heart". This verse is saying whatever a person does or sees will get into our hearts. The two easiest influences are music and television. Now you are probably saying to yourself, "These TV shows I watch cannot possibly influencing me!" Trust me! They do! I USE to be a TV junkie before God convicted me! I know these days we have all these reality shows and drama series like Being Mary Jane, Scandal, Hit The Floor, Love & Hip-Hop and etc. Yes, these shows are entertaining but are they teaching abstinence? NO, they are not lol. All of these shows I just listed have one thing in common-premarital sex and adultery. I understand that some of the hot steamy sex scenes may make you want to call up your boo and invite him over, but get out your Bible and read it instead! In all seriousness, if you feel like these shows are making you have impure thoughts, do a fast for a week! Now lets move on to the music influences. Pretty much all the Hip-Hop and R&B songs are about sex! Now while you are at the club getting your dance on with whomever, your mind is processing those lyrics and emotions to that song! These Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Drake, etc. songs are not glorifying God and not appreciative of women at all. Again if you find that music is your problem, go on a fast! Prayer: Dear God, Clean our hearts! Search our hearts and rid everything that is not glorifying You! Discipline us God so that we can turn away from negative television shows or music that is hindering our purity! Lead us in a direction that You have for us towards music and television! In Jesus name we pray amen.
Hello Ladies! Well today is the start of the purity prayer challenge! Why Is Purity Important? In the Romans 12:1, it states "to present your body as living and holy sacrifice acceptable to God". Also, in 1 Corinthians 16-20, it states that "our bodies are temples belonging to God". What do these verses mean exactly? They mean that God has paid a price for our bodies and God has specific purpose for us. He paid that price so we could have everlasting life! There is on catch-We have to remain pure! There are different ways to remain pure but the most important one that young adults have trouble dealing with is sexual purity. In 1 Corinthians 7:3, the bible talks about sex is reserved for a husband and wife. The bible does NOT state anything about sex is for a boyfriend and girlfriend! Actually, no where in the bible does it talk about boyfriends and girlfriends! Just had to put that out there! The world likes to twist words and have people thinking "you gotta try before you buy", "nothing is wrong with it", or "that's what couples in love do". Real Godly couples that are trying to glorify God don't do have sex. I understand temptation can creep around the corner and that's why I created this challenge so we can strengthen our purity! Prayer: Dear God, I come to you thanking you for the price that you paid for me. I want to make sure that each day I am glorifying you and not the world. Help me to refrain from sexual impurity and temptation. If there is anything that I am doing in my life that is not helping my purity, please remove it! We know that you have set a standard and help us to obey that standard! I know that your ways are not our ways! Your ways and plans are better than we could ever set for ourselves! If there are boyfriends that are not respecting our purity, remove them! If there are friends that aren't trying to hold us accountable, remove them! God I ask all of this in your name, Amen.

Hello! It has been a while since my last blog but I am back! A lot has changed too! So I was inspired to write this blog because I was in nursing school but it just didn't feel like it was right for me! I literally had to push myself to study-I found it so boring. So I began thinking what would be my alternative! I had actually fell into this situation back when I wrote the first blog about faith! Anyway, I began taking career inventory and interest test to figure out what would be a good major. I was praying to God so hard during this time! I don't think I have ever cried to God asking him to show me something this hard before! After careful deliberation, I chose elementary education! Now here is how the "crystal ball" comes into play. Growing up at the age of five, I wanted to be teacher! My whole family and I remembers me teaching my stuffed animals! Well, I can remember telling my dad and him telling me that teachers make nothing. As a child, you are easily influenced and I was! Then a few years went by and I would always say I was going to be a doctor when someone asked me what I wanted to be. Fast forward to my senior year, I prayed to God about what I should major in and I chose nursing. So I started college and up to a month ago, my life was nursing! When I officially changed my major, I felt so good! Like I was a new person! I kept thinking now wouldn't my life had been a WHOLE lot easier had God shown me elementary education when I asked him! I kept thinking about how all the time and money was wasted during these three years! But I do realize that God had a plan for me. Had it not been for some of those struggles with nursing, I would probably not have the relationship I have with God! 2 Samuel 24:14 states "But it would be better to be punished by God then by anyone else because he is merciful". I don't deserve any of the blessings but God's grace kept me! God is the author of our lives so there should be no need to question him! There was probably a reason why he didn't reveal education to me. Remember God's timing is better than our own timing. Be blessed :)

Hello!! I know it has been awhile but I am back! So today, it is my 21st birthday!! I love birthdays because they are YOUR day! I love to reflect on how far I have come! Last week I was reflecting on my birth, I was born three months prematurely and almost died! God had better plans for me! From now until this time last year, I have come a LONG way! Friends have come, people have entered my life, and events have happened that I thought would never happen! Best of all, I have gotten so close to God and he has revealed my purpose! It definitely was not easy but God kept me through it all! God has purpose for each of us! We are on this earth to glorify him! I told myself last night, that it did not matter whom I was friends with or what my relationship status was, my focus is to do Gods will! Remember Jeremiah 29:11! God has assignment for us! You do have purpose!

I am more than EXCITED about this blog! I have given birth to my baby! LOL. I was only pregnant with my child for three months though. Let me give you a little back story. So during Fall 2013, I got really close to God and started seeing people developing their God given purpose. I kept thinking I want to know my purpose! I would pray to God many times asking him that. I remember one day I was sitting at my computer doing school work and I heard God tell me to go read "A Purpose Driven Life". I was like shocked because I had purchased that book for a bible study class that I had never attended once and I had forgotten the book. So I went to my room and started reading the book. It's a 90 day devotional about developing your purpose and its amazing! So I had read the book but I still didn't know my specific purpose. It wasn't until the first or second day of January that God all of a sudden told me that I needed to start a blog or website. I was like appalled why would would God even tell me that, I don't like to write, what would I write, can I really make a difference? So from then on, I would pray to God to help me develop this blog. During that season of my life, I felt lonely. Now, I wasn't technically alone but that how felt. I just felt down and out. It wasn't until about a month ago, that I started to think I should develop this blog. I felt like two things were holding me back. I kept saying I will start it once I get a new computer and school is out. Well, ironically, the Thursday before the blog started. I decided to get on and play around with the template. It wasn't until Friday night, that I started the blog! Who would have known that all I went through was shaping me for this?? Nobody but God! This is just evidence that we need to trust God! Proverbs 3:5 states to Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. God had to develop me first before he could give me my assignment. Just like a child may ask his or her parents to do something, the parents are the ones that decide whats best for him or her. Had God given me my purpose last Fall, I would not had been ready for it. So remember we all have PURPOSE that God has assigned us with. He just needs to develop us and we need to OBEY him. Had I not obeyed God and read "A Purpose Driven Life", I might not be here writing this blog. Just like our earthly parents guide us, God is our HEAVENLY parents, who a steps aligned to guide us to our purpose. Those steps may feel uncomfortable to us but God has our hands on us! He is always with us!

Today is the second day of spring and my second day of spring break. I tend to think of spring as a renewal period. I put away all of my winter clothes and do "spring" cleaning. Since I have been so busy with school, I haven't had time to spend with myself or God. So that's exactly what I've been doing! I woke up early and spent time with God. Also, I did some things just for me. I got my eyebrows done and bought some new makeup. I was watching a YouTube video about self-love this week and got inspired! Self-love is so important! How can we be a help-meet if we don't even help ourselves! As a single woman, I aspire to be in a relationship but I know God has that worked out. God just wants me to focus on him and myself. So as it's warming up, get outside and enjoy yourselves! Self-love is the beginning of all love.
Be Blessed :)

Hi guys! Welcome to my FIRST official blog post! Therefore, this week, I have had some troubles with not feeling adequate. Some girls were acting mean to me and I didn't even do anything to them! Also for those that don't know about me, I am a nursing student and this is my first semester. It definitely has been a STRUGGLE! I am not doing well at ALL! Therefore, that has led my parents to get on me and my teachers have been saying I should just give up. That's not exactly something you want to hear! I have been so stressed out with school that I haven't exactly been the best friend to God. So today, I went to check off on my last skills test and I failed. My instructor then proceeds to tell me that I am a very weak student and I should just change my major. I started feeling so mad and sad! I get home and I decide I need to spend time with God. Therefore, I follow Heather Lindsey's advice on quiet time, listen to worship music and usually I use my phone to read the bible, but today I decided to get the actual bible. I pray to God to show a specific verse if it is will and lo and behold, he does! He reveals to me Matthew 17. Therefore, I start reading and I am like "okay this may have something to do with me". It wasn't until I got to verse 19, "Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out? “ He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly, I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” I was like WOW! This had everything to do with what I was going through! This was the first time God had revealed to me a specific verse! So to wrap things up, you have to have FAITH! God did not bring me through all this to so that I could give up! He has a purpose for everything! In Jeremiah 29:11, God says "I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." He birthed us before our mothers did! We have to have faith! Therefore, what you got a bad grade, having financial issues, going through a breakup, or just having anxiety! God cannot work in your life if you don't FIRST believe that he and you will get through this! Remember God wants all of us! So spend time with God daily! Just like you wouldn't want a friend to always call you up for stuff but never hangs out with you, God doesn't want us to keep asking for things and we don’t even spend time with him! Spend time with God and he will manifest what you faith in (only if its according to his purpose)!
